Each player starts with a deck of ten cards: 1s and 2s in six mismatched suits and four high-value cards, each in a different suit. Each player draws a hand of seven cards, and then presents the best exhibit by matching suits and numbers, e.g. red 11, red 1, purple 1, purple 13. Each card you play earns you $1, and in turn players can buy cards from the gallery piles: a 2 costs $2, a 3 $3, etc. Once per turn, you can bury a top card in a gallery pile at the bottom of that pile. If you don't spend all your money and don't have a change token yet, take a change token from the bank; it's worth $1 when you decide to spend it. End your turn by discarding all played cards and cards remaining in your hand, then draw a hand of seven cards, shuffling your discard pile as necessary.

In Evacuation, life on our planet is being wiped out by the increasingly intense solar radiation, so everyone is trying to move all the people and factories in their areas from the "old" planet to a new one - and they have only four rounds to do so. You start the game with a fully functioning economy, and throughout the game you must dismantle and move that economy. Income on the old planet decreases over time, and production probably won't be much better until you establish yourself on the new planet and get things going. Resources cannot be mixed between the planets, so you must pay special attention to your planning. To do this, you choose actions from the player board, with the expert variant adding cards that allow you to choose and combine additional actions. Each action has its own value, and the sum of these actions is important for a bonus at the end of the round. Additionally, players move their markers along the planet's orbit based on the value of their actions. If you can increase the production of three resources to level 8 and have three virtual reality machines on the new planet, you win. Otherwise, players compare their scores after four rounds. Evacuation contains modules to add new play options.

If there are several birds, they can share everything with each other, but if there is one that doesn't like sharing it, they all roll a die and add the result to their point value. Whoever has the highest result gets to have all the grains. A fox that goes to a cage alone gets nothing (it doesn't like grain), but if there is poultry there, it eats it all. If several foxes go to the same cage, they have to roll the dice. Foxes are selfish animals and don't share anything on principle! Once the last grains of wheat have been strewn in the cages, the last round begins. Whoever ultimately scores the most points with their collected grains and poultry cards is the winner.
