Nusfjord is a quiet fishing village in the Lofoten archipelago in northern Norway. Fifty years ago the trade boomed when the cod arrived there. Today, Nusfjord is more of a museum than a village, with fewer than a hundred inhabitants. Imagine how beautiful this place must be, considering you have to pay a fee to even look at the houses. Cruise ships used to sail past this long and now largely deserted island world. In the time in which the game Nusfjord is set, it looked very different. Sailing ships dominated the fjord. The rocks around Nusfjord are covered with trees. As the owner of a large fishing company in Nusfjord on the Lofoten archipelago, your goal is to develop the harbor and the surrounding landscape. To succeed, you must increase your fleet, clear the forest, build new buildings and satisfy the local elders. Of course, others do this too, so the competition is fierce. Similar to Agricola and Ora et Labora, Nusfjord has a worker placement mechanism, where each player starts with three workers who they place on a central board to activate certain actions. Whether a player wants to clear a forest on their own board, buy a new cutter, or build a building, they must place a worker in the correct space - which is only possible if there is room for that worker. Money is scarce, and one of the faster and easier ways to get it is to put shares of your own company on the market. This risky action can be worth it, because if you manage to buy these shares yourself, you will usually have won money and suffered no downsides.

In Ora et Labora (Latin for 'Pray and Work'), each player is the head of a monastery in the Middle Ages who acquires land and constructs buildings. They are, so to speak, small businesses that provide resources and profits. The goal is to build a working infrastructure and craft prestigious items - such as books, ceramics, ornaments and relics - to gain the most victory points at the end of the game. Ora et Labora, Uwe Rosenberg's fifth "major" game, has game mechanics similar to his Le Havre, such as two-sided resource cards that can be upgraded from a basic item to something more useful. Instead of adding resources to the board every turn as in Agricola and Le Havre, Ora et Labora uses a numbered rondel to show how much of each resource is available at any time. At the start of each round, players spin the rondel one segment, adjusting the counts of all resources at once. Each player has a personal game board. New buildings enter the game from time to time, and players can build them on their game boards with the building materials they collect, with some terrain restrictions on what can be built where. Some spaces start with trees or swamps on them, and these hinder development until a player clears the land, but they also provide resources when removed. Smart building on your personal game board will influence your final score, and players can purchase additional terrain during the game if necessary. Players also have three workers who can enter buildings to take the action associated with that location. Workers must remain in place until you have placed all three. You can enter your own buildings with these workers, but to enter and use another player's buildings you must pay that player an entrance fee so that he moves one of his workers into that building to do the work for you . In a Grove is a bluffing and deduction game where the player who makes too many false accusations loses the game. The game is played in rounds. Each round, each player receives one of eight silhouettes (numbered 2-8 with one empty), while three silhouettes are placed as suspects in the center of the table and the last silhouette is designated as the victim. You must determine which suspect is the guilty one, either to accuse him or to lure other players into accusing someone who is innocent! All players secretly look at their silhouettes, then pass them to the right and look at the new silhouette they received. The first player of the round secretly looks at two of the three suspects and, if desired, exchanges the victim for one of these suspects. This player then places a colored accusation marker under one of the suspects. The next player looks at the two suspects not marked with an accusation marker, then places their own colored accusation marker, covering any markers already under that suspect. Any misplaced markers are turned over with the colored side down and given to the player holding the top marker of the pile. "A party game for terrible people." The game begins with a judge, known as the "Card Czaar", who chooses a black question or fill-in card from the top of the deck and shows it to all players. Each player has a hand of ten white answer cards at the start of each round and deals one card (sometimes two) face down to the Card Czar, representing their answer to the question on the card. The Card Czaar determines which answer card(s) are the funniest in the context of the question or fill-in card. The player who submitted the chosen card(s) is given the Question Card to represent an "Awesome Point", and then the player to the left of the new Card Czaar becomes the new Czaar for the next round. The game continues until the players decide to stop, at which point the player with the most Awesome Points is the winner. So far it sounds like the popular and fairly harmless game "Apples to Apples". Although the games are similar, the humor required is very different. The game encourages players to joke about virtually any uncomfortable or taboo topic, including race, religion, gender, poverty, torture, alcoholism, drugs, sex (yes, really), abortion, child abuse, celebrities, and those everyday little annoyances like “expecting a burp and vomiting on the floor.” Plus, there are a few extra rules. First, some question cards are "Pick 2" or cards, where each participant must submit two cards in order to complete their answer. Secondly, there is also a gambling component. If a question is played that a player thinks has two possible winning answers, he can wager an Awesome Point to play a single second answer. If the betting player wins, he keeps the point wagered, but if he loses, the player who contributed the winning answer takes both points.

Players in Tiger & Dragon draw tiles from their hand to participate in waves of attack and defense. Be the first player to clear their hand to score points based on one of the ten score cards used in this round. The game contains 38 tiles: 36 numbered tiles with one 1, two 2's, etc. up to eight 8's, along with a tiger and a dragon. Shuffle the tiles face down, then each player takes tiles based on the number of players, with the starting player taking one additional tile. For example, with four players, the starting player takes ten tiles and all other players take nine. At least one tile remains out of play. The starting player attacks by playing a tile from their hand. The next player can choose to either pass or defend the attack by playing the same tile. Note that the dragon defends against every odd numbered tile and the tiger against every even numbered tile. After defending, you place your own tile to attack. If a player passes, the next player can either pass or defend. If all other players pass your attack, place a tile from your hand face down and then choose a new tile to attack again. When attacking with the dragon or tiger, a player can defend with any odd- or even-numbered tile, respectively. The first player to empty their hand wins the round and scores points based on the last tile they played and the specific scorecard for that round. They get 1 bonus point for each time their attack remained undefended. At the end of a round, if a player has scored 10+ points, they win.

In Town 77 — located just down the road from Town 66 — residents can't stand seeing houses of the same shape or color next to each other. Try to build as many houses as possible, but keep in mind which houses in your hand can be built at the end. In Town 77, each player has a hand of tiles, with each tile showing one of the seven house styles in one of the seven colors/patterns. (The color/pattern of a tile is also visible on the back.) The game contains a total of 49 tiles, one for each possible combination. Each player starts with a random hand of tiles. The first player places a tile in the top left corner of an imaginary 7x7 square. After playing a tile, a player can choose whether or not to draw a new tile. Once you reduce your hand size, you cannot increase it anymore.
