The days on Ryh are longer than those on Earth. Yet it still took 33 rotations before we encountered the Oxataya - another 12 before we encountered any Ahzuri. So far our negotiations have gone well. The Oxataya are an ancient water-dwelling clan, full of wisdom, knowledge and insight. The Ahzuri are an ascetic mountain tribe that we know little about. We learned a lot from the Oxataya and their temples, but there is still much to discover. Our new research outposts and specialists have shown promising work so far. Only time will tell. The expansion "The Specialists" adds two new local factions for players to negotiate, a temple location to visit, and outpost signs to expand their research bases. It also adds many new characters (with variable player powers) and contract cards, as well as the new, powerful specialist dice.

This mini-expansion for Chaos Order adds 12 Leader Cards, 6 Attribute Cards, 12 Tactics Cards, and 2 new Production Tokens. Each Faction now has 2 new Leaders to choose from. After deploying their starting Leader during setup, they must select 2 of their other Leaders and return them to the box. This allows for much more variability and strategies to discover within each Faction.

At the end of 1135, Henry I, King of England, died unexpectedly without a male heir to succeed him. His daughter, Empress Matilda, considered herself the rightful heir. But the deceased king's favorite nephew, Stephen of Blois, was quicker and, with the help of his brother, the Bishop of Winchester, had himself crowned king. Matilda's supporters refused to accept Stephen's rule, leading to a civil war that plunged England into chaos for eighteen years. This conflict became known as The Anarchy . In The Anarchy, players take on the role of English nobles loyal to King Stephen. Over five rounds, they build up their domain, defend their castle against the advancing Angevin armies, and storm strongholds loyal to Matilda with homemade siege weapons. The player who musters the most courage, loyalty, influence, and strength, while avoiding discontent, proves to be Stephen's most loyal ally and receives his greatest earldom at the end of the game.

Instead of discarding their empty shells, broken tools, bones, and other debris, they used these materials to form large mounds of earth over hundreds of years. Later generations dug into these middens to create chambers and tunnels that offered protection from the bitter winds and cold winter months. In Skara Brae , the goal is to gather various resources to feed, clothe, and shelter the growing community of settlers. Players take turns drawing Village cards and deploying their workers to furnish, cook, craft, clean, and trade. At the end of each round, players must maintain their settlers, which likely also creates new midden waste that needs to be cleared. After four rounds, the player with the most victory points wins.
