This expansion allows even more cosmonauts to explore the galaxy of Catan. In addition to game components for a fifth and sixth player, this expansion also contains a number of extras. Ancient artifacts can now also be found on the planets. The mysterious Wandering People, one of the alien races in the galaxy of Catan, have also received their own friendship cards.

Catan: Cosmonauts for 5 -6 players has further adjustments to the existing game rules. To ensure that players do not have to wait too long for their turn, two players always take their turn at the same time using the PILOT 1 and PILOT 2 pawns.
