Come Sail Away! is een bordspel voor 1 tot 4 spelers waarin je de uitdaging aangaat om passagiers zo soepel mogelijk aan boord van je luxe cruiseschip te begeleiden. Terwijl je hen naar hun favoriete hutten en faciliteiten brengt, verdien je punten. Dit heerlijk doordachte en prachtig geïllustreerde spel is eenvoudig te leren, maar blijft altijd een uitdaging.

Het doel van Come Sail Away! is om passagiers efficiënt over je cruiseschip te verdelen en onderweg zoveel mogelijk punten te scoren. Je verdient punten door elke kamer op het schip te vullen en kunt bonuspunten verdienen door bepaalde kamers sneller te vullen dan je tegenstanders. Daarnaast kun je extra voordelen behalen door passagiers met bagage naar hun hutten te begeleiden, waardoor je voortgang boekt op het bagagespoor. Dit levert je extra kleine hutten, nieuwe passagiers en bonuspunten op. Maar let op: als je niet goed plant, krijg je te maken met een groep ontevreden passagiers!

Elke speler beheert zijn eigen luxe cruiseschip, gevuld met verschillende hutten en faciliteiten. Elke beurt kies je een van je twee passagierskaarten en plaats je de passagiersstukken uit de kaart in de juiste kamers van je schip. De hutten en faciliteiten hebben elk hun eigen plaatsingsregels. De passagiers worden één voor één in een Mancala-stijl verplaatst, waarbij je zelf kiest waar je begint. Volle kamers leveren bonussen en eindspelpunten op, maar naarmate je ruimtes vult, wordt de beschikbare ruimte op je schip steeds schaarser.

Naast het beheren van je eigen schip moet je ook je medespelers goed in de gaten houden, want er zijn slechts een beperkt aantal populariteitsbonussen te verdienen.

De speler die de meeste punten verzamelt terwijl hij zijn passagiers tevreden houdt, wint het spel!
