Cards are arranged in the center of the playing field to form a tree with presents underneath. Players choose and place a light or tinsel card on the tree. Using the point total of all lights or tinsel cards on the tree (of the type just placed) determines your selection value. That selection value is then used to choose an ornament on the tree or select a gift/stocking under the tree. Ornaments and gifts/stockings all score in different ways.
