Lacrimosa - Board Game (ENG)

Description

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is dead. His last conscious act on his deathbed was to compose the Lacrimosa movement of his Opus Requiem. You are one of his sponsors and will meet the widow to participate one last time in financing the works of the Austrian genius. Also, together with Mozart, you will reminisce and retell all your memories to ensure that she portrays you in the best light when writing her memoirs to go down in history as Mozart's most important patron.

In Lacrimosa, players take on the role of patrons of the deceased musician, who contributed one last time to the composer's works with their money. During the game you play in two different timelines: the present and the past. Now you commission the missing parts of the Requiem for other composers to complete. Developing events from the past, the game takes place in five eras where you contribute by purchasing new compositions from the composer to sell or exhibit, accompanying him on the various journeys through the most important courts and theaters in Europe, and gather the resources you need to support the musician throughout his career. During the game you play cards from a limited hand that you improve as the game progresses. These cards can be played as actions or as resource generators, and players must optimize their resources and finances to support their best version of the story and their relationship with Mozart.
