A unique trick-taking game about flying, flipping cards, and trying not to get too close to the sun.

Icarus and his friends have built handmade wings. Day and night they fly, overjoyed with their new freedom, higher and higher. But whoever gets too close to the sun might just fall out of the sky. In this trick-taking game, winning tricks sends you higher into the air. At some point, you'll want to start losing tricks to avoid flying straight into the sun.

That's easier said than done, because every played 5-card turns day into night or night into day. This causes you to flip your cards, turning high values into low values, and vice versa. If your opponents can force you to fly too high, they might be in a better position to win.

Trickarus contains double-sided cards with one value for daytime and another for nighttime. Both values together always equal 10, so a 3, for example, flips to a 7. Additionally, Sun cards are trump during the day, and Moon cards are trump at night.

Completely rethink your trick-taking strategy: mediocre cards can suddenly seem hopeless, while 1s and 2s become particularly powerful when they flip to 8s and 9s. Japanese card games like Trickarus are loved worldwide by trick-taking fans for their simplicity and clever twists.
