In Vinyl: Holiday, players work on the best Christmas album. Each album contains a subgenre (classical, traditional and contemporary), one of the four decades (the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s) and one of the five spirits (joy, love, peace, hope and faith).

Some of the points you earn are completely in your control from the matches you make with previously played albums. Other points come from the combined efforts of you and the players to your left and right. To further increase scoring chances, each player can sacrifice their hand of cards to complete attributes printed on each album's gift tags.
