Description

Alta is a tactical and accessible card game where you try to cleverly play your cards to shape your island. Building the perfect island is no easy task. You need farmers for food, towers to keep your island safe, and cozy pubs in the heart of your cities. And all of that on one island? Every card you play in front of you can be worth points, but only if it's placed in a useful spot!

Alta is a family game, where each game of about 20 minutes provides a complete gaming experience! You can play Alta from the age of 8, and the accessible rules ensure you can start quickly. So if you love fun, cozy evenings with your favorite fellow players, Alta offers everything you're looking for!

In Alta, you build your island by playing 2 cards in front of you in a 4x4 grid each turn. You play 1 card from your hand and the other from the open cards on the table. Then you replenish your hand to 2, and it's the next player's turn. After all players have completed their island, points are counted. Each card can be worth points, but only if its conditions are met. For example, the farmer must be next to a field or market, and the fishing pier must be on the coast of the island. The player with the most points wins!
