Description

Reforest is a card game in which players compete to create the healthiest forest ecosystem by assembling a tableau of plants, each with unique properties and abilities.

On your turn, you choose one of two actions. You can collect plants by drawing two cards from the draw pile or from the open plant market. You can also play a plant by adding a plant card to your tableau in one of the allowed height categories (low, medium or high areas). You pay the cost of cards by discarding other plants from your hand as nutrients. Because space is limited, taller plants can be placed over pioneer species.

Each new plant earns points and contributes to a growing ecosystem of interconnected skills. At the end of each round, when the draw pile is empty, the player whose plants best match an animal visitor's preferences ( such as the most flowers or fruits ) receives an animal card.

The game ends when all animals have found a home. The players' forests are then scored and the player with the most points wins.

    Op elke plantkaart vind je de waarde in punten, een unieke vaardigheid en de kosten om de kaart te mogen spelen. Planten kunnen op lege plekken of over andere planten heen groeien. Je betaalt voor planten door kaarten uit je hand en/of opgeslagen energie uit je bos af te leggen.

    BEZOEKERS: Bezoekers ontvangen

    Het spel wordt gespeeld in 3 rondes. Na elke ronde ontvangt de speler die het beste aan het doel heeft voldaan de bezoeker van die ronde.

    • STANDAARD: scoor hoger dan de totale waarde van alle 30 planten in het spel om te winnen.
    • MOEILIJK: tel de waarde van alle niet-verdiende ‘einde ronde’-bezoekers
      op (incl. die tijdens het spel zijn toegevoegd) bij de standaarddoelscore.

    "Reforest is voor mij een persoonlijke favoriet van de laatste tijd. Het is een compact maar verrassend diep kaartspel met goede productiekwaliteit en veel variatie. Het combineert bekende mechanismen uit spellen als Forest Shuffle en Wingspan, maar weet daar toch een eigen draai aan te geven. Ik zou ‘m vooral adviseren aan spelers die houden van engine builders met veel verschillende effecten en combinatiemogelijkheden."
