Ares Expedition: Discovery adds brand new map mechanics to the beloved Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition. Fans of the original Terraforming Mars will be pleased to see the return of Awards and Milestones, with a new twist that increases replayability. Some project cards will also give you the option to replace one of your phase cards with a new and improved version that significantly changes the phase bonus.

Improving a phase card can change your strategy, but also revolutionize the way your opponents assess your game. What's more, each phase card has two different improvement options that allow you to streamline your phase deck according to the needs of your specific strategy. There is a world – or rather planet – of possibilities!
