This expansion to Dominion contains 25 new kingdom cards and 2 new standard cards, allowing players to build beyond Gold and Provinces. The central theme is wealth; there are money cards with action capabilities, cards that interact with money cards, and expensive, powerful cards.

Dominion Welvaart makes it possible to do more with your money cards. Therefore, you now play them in an order of your choice, performing any actions before playing the next card. Since there is a lot more money in the game than usual, you can buy standard cards like Platinum (which is worth 5 coins) and Colony (which is worth 10 victory points).
