Dive into the beautiful world of Shallow Sea , a puzzle board game inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the Great Barrier Reef. In Shallow Sea, players create their own colorful ocean landscapes by strategically placing sea life, colorful fish, and corals.

Shallow Sea is full of strategic choices, as you try to achieve as many objectives as possible. This creates exciting combos and tough dilemmas that keep you on your toes. The game is easy to learn, but challenging to master.

The goal in Shallow Sea is to have the most points at the end of the game. On your turn, you choose a combination of a fish and an adjacent tile. Place both on an empty space on your ocean board. When fish of the correct color gather around a coral tile, the coral is completed and the tile is flipped over. Completed coral becomes a home for fish, so you must tactically choose which fish will inhabit the coral.

Use shells to both attract fish and move them around, creating amazing combos by completing multiple tiles in a single turn. Each sea life tile requires specific patterns of fish or coral. Go for a variety of creatures to enrich your ocean.

Customize your ocean to meet the unique scoring requirements of the ecosystem cards. The game ends when there are only four empty spaces left on your ocean board. At the end of the game, the player with the most points wins!

      Hoe werkt Shallow Sea?

      1. Kies 1 tegel en 1 vis uit het aanbod.
      2. Leg de gekozen tegel en vis in je oceaan.
      3. Handel voltooide tegels af en ontvang 1 schelp.

      Koraaltegels

      Een koraaltegel is voltooid als op alle hoeken met een kleur vissen liggen in diezelfde kleur. Zodra een koraaltegel voltooid is, mag je hem omdraaien en plaats je een van de vissen waarmee je dit doel gehaald hebt, op de koraaltegel.

      Zeediertegels

      Op zeediertegels staat een doel: een bepaalde voorwaarde van koraaltegels en vissen die aanwezig moeten zijn in jouw oceaan. Zodra je dit doel gehaald hebt, draai je de zeerdiertegel om.

      Doel van het spel

      Uiteraard probeer je zoveel mogelijk punten te halen. Dit doe je door de koraaltegels, zeerdiertegels en vissen zo te plaatsen, dat je optimaal gebruik maakt van alle tegels en vissen. Als je slim puzzelt, kun je met 1 vis meerdere koraaltegels afronden. Bovendien kun je zeediertegels en koraaltegels vaak zo combineren dat je ook daar meerdere keren gebruik kunt maken van een tegel. Met schelpen kun je o.a. vissen verplaatsen, wat ervoor zorgt dat de puzzel nóg tactischer wordt en je optimaal kunt scoren in jouw oceaan. Aan het einde van het spel krijg je punten voor ecosysteemkaarten, tegels, verschillende voltooide zeediertegels en onvoltooide vissen.

      Solomodus

      In het solospel gebruik je de koraalduivelkaart. Telkens als je een schelp zou moet betalen, mag je in plaats daarvan een willekeurige vis uit de viszak halen en die op de koraalduivelkaart leggen.

      Net zoals in het spel met meer spelers, is het spel afgelopen als er nog slechts 4 lege velden in je oceaan zijn. Als het spel afgelopen is, verlies je OP op basis van het aantal vissen op de koraalduivelkaart. Voor de eerste 2 vissen verlies je geen punten. Vanaf de derde vis verlies je 2 OP per vis.
